Everyone is scheduled into a slot to talk with candidates, except you.

From the tone, one would assume that I had been asked once (or perhaps repeatedly) to sign up for a time to meet the candidates. That assumption would not be correct.

Exactly what I expected

• 9 a.m. class, junior/senior majors: 100% attendance
  
• 11:30 a.m. class, freshman/sophomore nonmajors: 55% attendance
  

Wrong on so many levels....

The other day I went to a Math seminar that had some relevance to BioChemPhys. At the end of the seminar, I took a cookie from the provided refreshments. As I did, a man I did not know said to me, "Those are fattening, dear."

My Office

There is construction going on in the classroom across from my office. It is occasionally loud. The rest of the time, a religious radio program emanating from the boombox in the room is very loud.
